  • Harry Stone Releases Two New Songs “Boy” & “Tokyo”

  • London-based singer-songwriter Harry Stone released two new songs “Boy” and “Tokyo” on September 30, 2022.

“Boy” received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Jack Saunders.
He first performed two songs at LayLow in London in September.
He wrote “Boy” to his younger self. The track was written by Harry Edelsten and John Foyle. Produced by Jonny Coffer.
Harry Stone said of “Boy”, “'Boy' is an imaginary conversation I wanted to have with my younger self; kind of like advice that was ironically too late to give. Before coming into the studio I’d been told about something that was really upsetting, and basically just put me in a ‘all men are dickheads’ kind of mood. ‘Boy’ is a reminder of how I used to see the world, but also a good message, that I’ve grown so much since then, into somebody I respect.”
He wrote “Tokyo” to comfort him through the loneliness of lockdown. The track was written by Harry Edelsten, Philip Plested, and Jonny Coffer. Produced by Jonny Coffer.
He said of “Tokyo”, “It’s funny how you want something most when it’s taken away from you: at the time it literally didn’t matter if your mate was down the road, or up in Scotland, you couldn’t go and see them…it might as well be Tokyo. I hope that for other people hearing ‘Tokyo’, they just hear a song about longing for somebody over distance, about wanting to be close to someone you love.”
