Scottish DJ Calvin Harris released a new song “New Money” from his upcoming sixth studio album “Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2”.
It is the second single off of the album, following "Potion" with Dua Lipa and Young Thug.
This time, he recruited Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage on the track.
The track was written by Adam Wiles, Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, and Alissia Benveniste.
The new album comprises 14-track and is set to be released on August 5, 2022. It is a sequel to the 2017 album “Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1”.
“I felt like the first one, the idea was there, but I didn't fully carry it through,” Calvin Harris said. “With this one I wanted to have more live drums, guitars … I wanted the original essence. I wanted the layers and the grit and the dirt. And I don't want things to be mixed too perfectly. I want things to be too loud, and I want things to be like, Fly and the Family Stone, when it's just mixed on the fly.”
