Austin-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Jackie Venson released the third EP “Transcends” on September 29, 2017. The EP was premiered exclusively on Relix.
The EP “Transcends” contains 5-track and produced by Michael Ramos (John Mellencamp, Los Lonely Boys).
Last month, she released “Flying” as the lead single from the EP and premiered the music video, directed by Megan Cardwell.
Currently, she has toured to promote the new EP through March 2018, with Gary Clark Jr., who won a Blues Music Award in 2014 and 2015. Learn more about tour dates, click here.
About the new EP, Jackie Venson told Relix;
"I finally am focusing in on finding my voice as a songwriter and this EP is representative of that. I also have wanted to make a project centered around the more philosophical forms of love. Still gotta have that guitar though so it's all compromises being made. I feel like a new artist after this recording."- Jackie Venson debuted in 2013 after graduation Berklee and released two EP "The Unreleased" and "Rollin’ On EP". In 2014, she released a debut album "The Light in Me".
In the same yer, she held a concert as Jackie Venson Day at Austin City Hall in her honor to raise money for an Austin music school.
