American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars and rapper Anderson .Paak released a new song “Skate” along with a music video.
The song is the second single as their new band Silk Sonic, following “Leave the Door Open” released back in March.
It was written by Domitille Degalle, JD Beck, James Fauntleroy, Dernst Emille II, Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars.
The video was directed by Bruno Mars and Florent Dechard.
“I'm excited,” Bruno Mars told Apple Music's Zane Lowe. “'Skate' being our second single, because the sun is out and I'm hoping everybody's outside, everybody's at the pool, at the beach, barbecuing, listen to some Silk Sonic. We wanted everyone to feel like they were floating and gliding, slipping and sliding. And we're very proud of this record.”
He continued, “Me and the team were thinking about 'What if we were performing in the middle of a roller rink, what would that bassline be doing? What would the guitar be doing?
