British singer-songwriter Jasmine Van Den Bogaerde, aka Birdy released a new song “Second Hand News” from her upcoming fourth studio album “Young Heart” on April 16, 2021.
The track was written by Jasmine Van Den Bogaerde and Jonny Wright. Produced by James Ford.
She first performed the song at GLAMOUR Women of The Year Awards 2021 on March 12th.
The new album features 16-track and is set to be released on April 30, 2021. It is her first album in 5 years since “Beautiful Lies”.
She wrote songs of the album in Topanga Canyon in Los Angeles. Birdy told Atwood Magazine about the album, “Young Heart is about heartbreak, internal conflict, fate, and new beginnings. This album has a 70's Laurel Canyon feel to it, a lot of it was written in Topanga Canyon in LA, and I hope it takes listeners to that place.”
She continued, “I was also influenced a lot by artists like Etta James, Nina Simone, and Joni Mitchell, and so it's a lot more soulful, and a few of the songs are more guitar-led than ever before.”- 1VNgrXXndgU
