Steps Releases New Song “Hold My Heart”
- British dance-pop group Steps has unveiled a new song “Hold My Heart” from their upcoming sixth studio album “What the Future Holds”.
The track is the fourth single, following “Something in Your Eyes”. It was written by Robin Stjernberg and Isa Molin.
Steps said of the song, “We all instantly fell in love with ‘Hold My Heart’ the first time we heard it. It’s a proper classic Steps ballad with amazing harmonies. We all got quite emotional recording it in the studio. It has a bit of a Lady A vibe to it and it really shows the mature side of the new album. While we all love an up-tempo banger, and there are PLENTY on the album, we wanted to show the opposite side to ‘Something In Your Eyes’ with this latest teaser track.”
The new album is set to be released on November 27th. The group changed the album in a different direction from their previous album.
“I think people mistake what we are,” said the gripe member Faye Tozer in a press release. “People don’t realise it’s the pure pop, it’s the soul of the pop song that really drives Steps forward. Outsiders looking in maybe don’t understand Steps, but we know the soul of it from the inside out.”
