mehro Releases New Song “Hideous”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter mehro shared his second single “Hideous”, following the debut song “Perfume” released back in February.
The accompanying music video was directed by Ryan Calavano.
“When I wrote this song I was in dark place,” mehro explains. “When I closed my eyes, my thoughts were ones of self hatred, when I looked in the mirror I saw a monster.”
His sound is '70s folk vibe. He is inspired from Elliott Smith, Frank Ocean, Mazzy Star and Phoebe Bridgers. He told Wonderland Magazine, “I draw most inspiration from life, and sometimes I blush when I hear records that i'm but a faint echo of. Elohim turned me onto Elliot Smith, early days, when I heard him I thought, “cool, i'm not alone”. I get lost in greatness. Frank Ocean, Mazzy Star, Phoebe Bridgers, but there are so many.
