British singer-songwriter Calum Scott joined in the upcoming animated film “The Garfield Movie” soundtrack.
He contributed a new song “Then There Was You” to the soundtrack.
This marks the first time Calum Scott has contributed his own songs to the soundtrack.
The song was released on May 3, 2024, following the release of “Let It Roll” by Australian singer-songwriter Keith Urban and American rapper Snoop Dogg last month.
The track was written by Calum Scott, Andrew Bullimore, Andrew Yeates, Charlie Martin, Joe Housely, Jon Maguire, and Michael Hodges. Produced by The Nocturns, Jon Maguire, and Michael Hodges.
Calum Scott shared on social media, “‘Then There Was You’, a song that I wrote with my mates has found its home on the official Garfield soundtrack!! This is a first for me and I’m very proud and honoured to be part of it! Hope you love it!!”- The film is based on American comic strip “Garfield” created by Jim Davis. It chronicles the life of the title character Garfield the cat, his human owner Jon Arbuckle, and Odie the dog.
The film was directed by Mark Dindal, starring voices Chris Pratt, Samuel L. Jackson, Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Harvey Guillén, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang, and Snoop Dogg.
