Tom Walker Announces New Album “I AM”, Shares New Song “Freaking Out”
Scottish singer-songwriter Tom Walker has announced his sophomore album “I AM” will be released on May 31, 2024.
It is his first album in five years since the 2019 debut album “What a Time to Be Alive”.
Tom Walker said of the album, “I Am is a culmination of me trying to figure out who I am for the last four years. This record is a snapshot of what's been going on in my life, and what's been happening around me – what's made me happy or sad, ecstatic or miserable.”
Also, he shared on social media, “The time has finally arrived. After 4 years of writing & recording, I am so bloody proud to announce that my BRAND NEW ALBUM "I AM" is coming out next year. I can't tell you the amount of time, passion and energy I have poured into making this record. I won't lie, at times it hasn't been easy, I've ripped up and binned more than an album's worth of material to get to this point. But I can confidently say I've never believed in the music I am making more than I do now. I am absolutely in love with these songs and the production that backs them up.”- From the album, he unveiled the second single called “Freaking Out” on November 3, 2023, following “Burn”.
The track was written by Tom Walker, John Green, Jamie Hartman, and Tofer Brown. Produced by Stuart Price and Fraser T Smith.
Tom Walker said of the song, “So many of you have been writing about relating to this one, it's tough to open up but it's always worth it...we all freak out and wobble every now and then but we can get through anything.”
Tom Walker embarks on his headline tour in 2024. The tour kicks off at The Great Hall in Cardiff on April 18, 2024 and will conclude at Eventim Apollo in London on May 7, 2024.
