Feist Drops New Music Video for “In Lightning”
Canadian singer-songwriter Leslie Feist, aka Feist will release her upcoming sixth studio album “Multitudes” on April 4, 2023.
It is her first album in six years since the 2017 album “Pleasure”.
The album contains 12 songs, which were written during Feist's 2021-2022 tour of the same name.
Three songs from the album were released simultaneously with the album announcement, “Hiding Out in the Open”, “In Lightning”, and “Love Who We Are Meant To”.
“The last few years were such a period of confrontation for me, and it feels like it was at least to some degree for everyone,” Feist said of the album in a press release. “We confronted ourselves as much as our relationships confronted us. It felt like our relational ecosystems were clearer than ever and so whatever was normally obscured—like a certain way of avoiding conflict or a certain way of talking around the subject—were all of a sudden thrust into the light. And in all that reassessment, the chance to find footing on healthier, more honest ground became possible, and the effort to maintain avoidance actually felt like it took more effort than just handing ourselves over to the truth.”
- On February 22, she dropped new music video for “In Lightning”.
The track was written and produced by Leslie Feist with production by Mocky, and Robbie Lackritz.
The video was co-directed by Julia Hendrickson, Sara Melvin and Leslie Feist.
It captures Feist's joyful performance of the song at the water's edge on a deserted beach.
Feist embarks on Multitudes Spring Tour 2023. The tour kicks off at The Sylvee in Madison, WI on May 2, 2023.
