Sweet Imperfections Releases New Song “Step Into Love”
American singer-songwriter Bri Schillings and her band Sweet Imperfections, consisting of Bri Schillings (vocals), Chad Schlosser (guitar), Michael Johnson (drums), Shawn Barry (bass) and Jeffery Howell (keyboards), released a new song “Step Into Love” on February 14, 2023.
The song is the second single of 2023, following “Choose You” released back in January.
The track was written by Bri Schillings and Brandon Sudweeks.
The accompanying music video was directed by Summerland Creative, who filmed at Good Noise Studio in Palm Springs.
“The Lyrics in this song explain verbatim what we were going through in our relationship,” Bri Schillings said of the song. “A night out at dinner, our first argument in our three months of dating, an argument that birthed a song as we sat down and wrote out exactly what we were experiencing. That night we identified that our personal shame bodies were the walls we kept bumping into. When we held each other's shame with love, we stepped out of shame and into love.”- She continued, “What is most meaningful about this song is the honest story it tells. We can keep living our lives, holding our little shame bodies, putting up walls but until we share them, heal through them, we will be limited by them. Stepping out of shame sets us free and in this story, sets each other free, to love wide open.”
