Canadian singer-songwriter Kristina Dervaitis will release her upcoming sophomore album in April 2023.
She worked with producer Matthew Barber for the album and recorded at Union Sound Company.
She said, “Huge, HUGE, enormous thanks to my producer Matthew Barber. This album has far exceeded my expectations thanks to his vision, his talent and his hard work.”
It is her first album in two years since the 2021 debut album “Overdue”.
From the album, she released the first single called “Everything & Nothing” along with a lyric video on January 20, 2023.
The track was written by Kristina Dervaitis and produced by Matthew Barber.
The song focuses on the concept of denial. Kristina Dervaitis said, “Some signs just can't be ignored without grave consequences.”- The lyric video was created by Kristina Dervaitis herself.
The clip draws climate change denial. She said, “When you consider the growing number of forest fires worldwide, as just one example, it's astounding to think that there are still those who deny the role that climate change is playing. It's right in front of our face – everything is pointing to it – but there are those that so badly want to believe that nothing's wrong.” - source : Apple Music
