Elena Erin Drops New Music Video for “Mayhem World”
Canadian singer-songwriter Elena Erin has dropped a new music video for “Mayhem World” directed by Arthur René Walwin.
The song is featured on her debut album “Holy Tender Artist”, which was released back in July.
It was written by Elena Erin and produced by Pablo San Martin.
The song is directed at a lover who feels like a soulmate and your perfect person, however you both feel so scarred by the world that you have strong defenses and barriers that get in the way of falling in love.
Elena Erin said of the video, “The song is vulnerable from my perspective, because I'm admitting that nobody knows what it's like to hold me closer, and I've finally found this person I'd let come close to me, however they refuse to let anyone close to them. The title “mayhem world” is because of all the mayhem in the world that damaged us. The video takes place at a bar, in which I walk in, order a drink, and seem to be drowning in my sorrows, waiting for a call or a text from this person. I drink more and more and get more upset and sad, eventually standing up and leaving alone.”- The debut album comprises 13-track, featuring guest appeances from LARWOOD & KOH and SoulThundre.
The album was written during the pandemic; where her days were completely consumed in writing, reading, and visualizing the themes.
Elena Erin said of the album, “The album is dotted with interludes of real-life phone conversations with my best friend about how we're finally figuring out how to create our dream lives and make magic come true.” -
