On October 13th, American actress and singer-songwriter Dove Cameron was nominated for New Artist of the Year at American Music Awards 2022.
The awards will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 20, 2022.
After announcing nomination, she released a new song “Bad Idea” on October 28, 2022.
The song is the follow-up to “Breakfast”, which was released back in June.
The track was written by Dove Cameron, Evan Blair and Madi Yanofsky. Produced by Evan Blair.
“I'm so happy to finally be releasing 'Bad Idea,'” Cameron said of the song in a press release. “This song was inspired by a text I got that was so intense, and such a bad idea, that I had to go straight into the studio the next morning to write about it. 'Bad Idea' is the moment before diving into what could potentially be a severe crash-and-burn but deciding to take the risk anyway.”- source : Apple Music
