TyStringz Releases New Song “Rora”
Dallas-based singer-songwriter Oretayo Fatokun, aka TyStringz released a new song “Rora” along with a music video on July 22, 2022.
The song is his third single of 2022, following “Far Away” and the collaborative song “Shy” with L.A.X.
He wrote the song with production by Lostinparis and Kaem Beats. The accompanying video was directed by Ceven Imperial.
Oretayo Fatokun said of the song, “The song is called 'Rora' which means in Yoruba, that 'take it easy' but more in a Sexy seductive sexual way but not vulgar in its lyrics but in its expressions and delivery. The hook is catchy, which is 'hola and Ole' which are very familiar to everyone around the world.”
Oretayo Fatokun graduated from college at age 19 and earned a master's degree in computer science at 22,
The Nigerian native says he can write codes from morning to night, but his real passion lies elsewhere. “Music is not work for me,” he says. “Music is fun.”- He explained about his music, “My music is a blend of different genres and styles of music. I play six musical instruments and I can play jazz, soul, Delta blues, bluegrass, rock and roll, R&B. I'll play anything, but I'm Nigerian and I've only been in the states since 2015 so when I play those styles, those elements, those melodies you can hear the Afrobeats influence. I'm very big on lyrics and very big on melody. Melody is what draws emotion with the lyrics.”
He has already got as many as 30 songs recorded and ready for release, and anticipates the first of those will be out in a month or two. -
