Belgian-Greek DJ Dimitri Vegas, French DJ David Guetta, American singer-songwriter Nicole Scherzinger and British-Dutch DJ Azteck teamed up to release a new song “The Drop” on June 24, 2022.
This marks the first time Dimitri Vegas, David Guetta, Nicole Scherzinger and Azteck have worked together.
The track was written by Dimitri Thivaios, David Guetta, Toby Scott, Clementine Douglas, Paul John Harris and Ki Fitzgerald.
They have already filmed an animated music video for the song, which will be premiered soon.
Dimitri Vegas said of the song, “I'm very excited to release 'The Drop,' a track we have worked on for quite a long time to try and bring the perfect balance between radio and club sounds. We really wanted the vocals to sound like an old skool 90s R&B sample, so we asked Nicole Scherzinger to record her amazing vocals on a much slower beat. We then reprocessed everything to a higher tempo and different key so we could create this pseudo-sampling feel.
