Alessia Cara Performs “Here” with DIME Detroit Students
Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara joined in the Detroit Institute of Music Education (DIME), where she performed her smash hit debut song “Here” with DIME students.
DIME is a music institute with locations in Detroit and Denver as well as online dedicated to teaching the next generation of modern musicians, artists, songwriters and entrepreneurs.
“Here” was released in 2015 as her debut single form her EP F"our Pink Walls". It was written by Sebastian Kole and Alessia Cara.
The music video was directed by Aaron A and was released on her YouTube page on May 26, 2015. The song reached No. 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
She said of the song, “'Here' is a song for all the antisocial, awkward, and miserable party-goers of the world. This one time I went to a party and while there, I realized how much I hated it, along with every other party I had ever gone to. We wrote about it the next day.”
Her upcoming sophomore album "The Pains of Growing" is set to be released on November 30, 2018.- source : Rolling Stone
