Maggie Lindemann Premieres New Song “Human”
- Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Maggie Lindemann has delivered a new song “Human” with accompanying music video.
The song follows up previous song "Obsessed". It was written by Sean C Meier, Jonas Jeberg and Ivy Adara.
On the song, she draws about feeling disconnected from other people. “The song is about literally not feeling human. Doing too many drugs or drinking too much to take a feeling away turning you into someone who’s not yourself, not going out because you’ve secluded yourself from the world,” the 20-year-old explained in a press release. “I think everyone can take away a different feeling from the song but for me it was always about having anxiety.”
She continued, “The things we struggle with can make us feel less human sometimes and I want people to know that I’m there with them and I feel you, but we’ll be okay.”
- The video was directed by Kajal, starring Maggie Lindemann and Rickey Thompson. The clip is inspired from 1988's film "Beetlejuice".
Maggie Lindemann told Complex about the video, “As I enter the house I’m turning into this underworld queen/undead dead type thing. There are all these contortionists around me that are all spooky, which is so sick, it gives it more of a scary vibe which is what I was really shooting for."
