Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ CYN Premieres New Song “Alright”
Chicago and LA-based singer-songwriter Cynthia Nabozny, aka CYN has released a new song “Alright” following previous song “Only With You”. The song was premiered exclusively on i-D. It was written by CYN and produced by Sam De Jong.
She will perform live Norwegian pop star Sigrid's American tour at The Independent in San Francisco on April 17 and The Bowery Ballroom in New York on April 25. Also she will appear on SXSW in Austin, Texas.
About the new song, she told i-D in an interview;
"I very much felt like outsider in most of my classes and I very much felt like my teachers were always trying to smooth me out. The pressure to be poised and soft spoken was so heavy, but I think I did a good job at pushing back and anyway, I turned out alright!
I think "Alright" is a different than my other releases because it isn't about love… which is very rare for me! I find that usually my writing revolves around love, and in this song, the topic and message is different. "Alright" makes sense as my next release because it's another take on the funky yet eclectic sound that I don't think I'll be straying from anytime soon."-
- CYN is better known as an artist for Katy Perry's label Unsub Records.
She debuted with a self-titled EP in 2014. Followed by, she released the second EP "Love Me If You Dare" in 2016.
In 2017, CYN signed to Unsub Records label and released “Together” and "Only With You". - source : i-D
