Israeli singer-songwriter Netta Barzilai, aka Netta announced her new EP “Goody Bag” will be released on June 25th.
From the EP, she premiered a new music video for “Cuckoo” directed by Roy Raz. The song was premiered at the Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light, which replaced the ESC 2020, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. It was written by Bert Elliott, Krysta Marie Youngs, and Netta Barzilai.
Netta said of the video, “Cuckoo is about being stuck, and the chance we all deserve to escape it, to reflect, and to be un-stuck. The music video presents a possible solution – what if we can fix our lives like we can fix a clock? The people in the video are stuck in an actual loop. They can’t stop, doubt or reflect. Time passes, all the clocks keep ticking – and the loop just keeps ongoing. Only when the clocks magically stop – time stands still. In this window of opportunity, the loops stop, and change is suddenly possible. Everyone can reflect on their lives, their love.
