20th Century Fox has unveiled a full trailer for upcoming psychological mystery thriller film “The Woman in the Window”.
The film is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by A. J. Finn.
Directed by Joe Wright, starring Amy Adams, Gary Oldman, Anthony Mackie, Fred Hechinger, Wyatt Russell, Brian Tyree Henry, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Julianne Moore.
The film is tells the story of Dr. Anna Fox (Amy Adams), a recluse in New York City who drinks her days away alone in her apartment, watching classic films and her neighbors. But she sees shocking event of her neighbor across the way Jane Russell (Julianne Moore) that changes her life.
The story reminds us of Alfred Hitchcock's “Rear Window”.
Also frontman of American alt band Nine Inch Nails, Trent Reznor supports of the film as composer along with English songwriter Atticus Ross.
Originally, the film was scheduled to be released on October 4, 2019. However The Walt Disney Company, who acquired 20th Century Fox in 2019, retooled the film due to the negative test audience response towards the third act. The release schedule of the film was changed.
Trent Reznor said, “There’s no animosity on our end. It’s frustrating when you did that much work and it’s gone. And we were proud – and they were proud – of the movie that it was.”
