Canadian singer-songwriter Ruth B. will release her upcoming sophomore album “Moments in Between” on June 11, 2021. It is her first album in four years.
From the album, she dropped a new song “Situation” along with a music video, following “Dirty Nikes”.
She wrote the song with Ido Zmishlany. The video was directed by Annie Bercy.
“It sounds so much like me, and where I am now versus a few years ago,” Ruth B. explained in a press release. “Writing songs has always been therapeutic for me,” Ruth said, adding, “and I hope that hearing my songs helps other people in the same way. Whether they’re feeling lonely or heartbroken or happy, I want them to know that someone else understands what they’re going through.”
She told ET Canada about the video, “I wanted to make it really beautiful and kind of just symbolize like the simplicity of the song and the message, but, you know, like aesthetically-pleasing. And when I saw the set for the first time, I was just like stunned ’cause it looked exactly like how I envisioned it in my mind.”- R-3LtVj_L6g
