HAIM Releases New Song “Feel The Thunder” from Animated Film “The Croods: A New Age” Soundtrack
- American pop rock band HAIM joined in the animated children's film “The Croods: A New Age” soundtrack.
From the soundtrack, the band released a new song “Feel The Thunder” on November 13th.
The band co-wrote the song with producer Ariel Rechtshaid. Danielle Haim told Rolling Stone, “He's obsessed with them (Guns 'n' Roses) – he went and saw them on their most recent tour a bunch of times. And so I figured that that's what we were looking for. We were like, 'Let's get Ariel.' But I'd never tried to make music like that before, so it was fully like a crazy experiment.”
She added, “We grew up listening to rock music, pop, a healthy smattering of a ton of different kinds of music. I don't know how often you really hear rock music in a kid's film anymore, or rock music in general anymore.”
Este Haim said, “We literally set up a small sound system in the recording studio. We mic'd all the drums and had it pumping through a small speaker system, which we'd never done before. But I guess that's how all those records got made.”
“The Croods: A New Age” is a sequel to the 2013 film “The Croods”. Directed by Joel Crawford, starring voices of Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke, and Cloris Leachman, Peter Dinklage, Leslie Mann, and Kelly Marie Tran.
The film will hit theatres on November 25th. The soundtrack is set to be released on November 20th.
