Fred again.. Drops Two New Live Videos for “Strong” with Romy & “adore u” with Obongjayar
London-based music producer Fred again.. dropped two new live videos for “Strong” and “adore u” on on December 27, 2024.
Fred again.. held his first-ever stadium show at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on June 14, 2024, featuring surprise appearances from London-based Nigerian singer-songwriter Obongjayar and British indie rock band The xx's Romy. The videos filmed the show.
On “Strong”, he performed with Romy. The song is featured on Romy's debut solo album “Mid Air” in 2023, and features guest appearance and production by Fred again...
The track was written by Romy, Fred again.. and Stuart Price.
While, “adore u” featured Obongjayar. The song is featured on Fred again..'s fourth studio album “Ten Days”, which was released back in September.
The track was written by Fred Gibson, Barney Lister, Mark Morales, Marco Parisi, Darren Robinson, Steven Umoh, Damon Yul Wimbley, and Tobias Wincorn.- Fred again.. said of the videos, “One of the maddest nights of my life. For about 6 months I couldn't really watch any videos of the coliseum show because it was too like, um actually im not even sure what it was, but i jus couldn't really watch it back cos it was jus such a mental intense out of body world of feelings and it was too overhwleming! And now I'm watching it back AND ITS ACTUALLY REALLY QUITE A NICE TIME YKNO. LA we'll forever be indebted to the way u guys showed up.”
He continued, “Watching it back I was reminded that I was really keen to let everyone in the crowd know that Romy has been the most unbelievably encouraging and sweet friend since the first song i made for actual life 1. And that is very much true. So it was such a madness to be able to sing this with her there.” -
He added, “Obi is so unbelievably hot. sorry thats not maybe the most relevant thing here. But it wassss the first thing I thought when i was watching this. And then the second was when he started singing and i was like my god I cannot EXPLAIN how hard it is to sing like this with a whole PA 150 metres away firing at you. So yeah whataguy man.”
He said, “After we did the show, someone told me Romy spent the first half of the show on the floor in the crowd, watching and dancing around with everyone. and then half way thru, when it was her moment, she jumped over the barrier and came up the steps onto the stage and played this wit me.
