Bea and her Business Premieres New Song “Safety Net” on BBC Radio 1
British singer-songwriter Bea Wheeler, aka Bea and her Business premiered her brand new song “Safety Net” on BBC Radio 1's Future Pop with Mollie King.
The song is her first music since the EP “Me vs. Me”, which was released back in May.
The track is about taking back control in a toxic relationship and getting revenge on an untrustworthy love interest.
She co-wrote the song with Caroline Ailin, and producer Greg Kurstin.
Bea and her Business said of the song, “'Safety Net' is about understanding your own value, it's about having some self-respect, putting yourself in a position of power and understanding that you should never wait around for anyone to get their shit together. It's sarcastic and petty.”- Bea and her Business told Mollie King about the song, “It's about a part of loving, trust of mine classic, who kind of kept floating in and out of my world, keeping me hanging on in there, in case things didn't work out with a girl down the road, that kind of thing. And so excited, you know what? No, not going to be his backup option anymore. I'm putting my foot down, because it literally took me ages. I was so invested. And here I am made out alive to the other side. You'll be glad to know, with one less boyfriend and one more song, I guess.”

She shared on social media, “I had such a good time writing this with the best people Caroline Ailin and Greg Kurstin I admire you both soOOOO much. My 2 favourite lines have to be 'you need somewhere to sleep I'm sure there's pillows in hell' and 'it's your turn to cry in bed and listen to Adele' ~ I highly suggest you listen:) This song is for all the 'side tings'”
Bea and her Business embarks on her headline tour across the UK, US and Europe. The tour kicks off at Kavka in Antwerp, Belgium on October 10 and will conclude at The Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles on December 11, 2024.
