Pale Waves Releases New Song “Gravity”
British alt-rock band Pale Waves, consisting of Heather Baron-Gracie (vocals/rhythm guitar), Ciara Doran (drums), Hugo Silvani (guitar) and Charlie Wood (bass), released the third single called “Gravity” from their upcoming fourth studio album “Smitten” on August 15, 2024.
The new album is set to be released on September 20, 2024 via Dirty Hit. (CD and 12” Vinyl on September 27)
The track talks about the struggle between the band's lead singer Heather Baron-Gracie and a previous partner with their sexuality and religion.
The track was written by Heather Baron-Gracie, and Hugo Silvani. Produced by Hugo Silvani and Iain Berryman.
The accompanying music video was directed by Georgie Cowan-Turner.
The clip features Heather Baron-Gracie's partner, singer-songwriter Kelsi Luck.
Heather Baron-Gracie said of the song, “'Gravity' is about a woman who chose Jesus over me. It took the longest of all of the songs on the album to finish. I think we must have rewritten it millions of times to get it to where it is now.”- The new album comprises a 12-track, produced by Hugo Silvani, Iain Berryman and Simon Oscroft.
Heather Baron-Gracie said of the album, “I found myself writing about not just a certain time period, but my whole life, from years ago. When I fall in love, I fall deep, and it's interesting to me that you can feel so fascinated and smitten with someone and then they can become a total stranger. So I feel like Smitten really summarised perfectly what I felt for others at a certain point.” -
