The band explained about some tracks for the album.
“Year 3000 2.0” with Jonas Brothers
Busted said, “'Year 3000' has been such a big part of [our] journey for the last 20 years”, say Busted. “The love that this song has just keeps growing, with the fans that were with us from the beginning and now a new generation. We were THRILLED when the Jonas Brothers gave it a whole new lease of life over in the States back in 2007, so we are excited to share this new 2.0 version with them in 2023!”
Jonas Brothers said, “We were so excited to collaborate with Busted to recreate one of their classics. 'Year 3000' is a timeless song, and we are thrilled to share it in a new, fresh way alongside the other collaborations they've done!”-
“Loser Kid 2.0” featuring Simple Plan
Matt Willis said, “Loser Kid has always been a favourite track of mine. It was the end of the first album and summed up that record. 'Wore my sisters jeans' is also a standout lyric from that time for me too. Still makes me laugh!”
James Bourne added, “Loser Kid was always the sequel to our first single 'What I Go To School For'. The second song in a 2 part story.”
“Good One”
Charlie Simpson said of the song, “Good one is all about the nostalgia of friends not seeing each other for a long time and making the most of the moments you get with each other so it seemed particularly appropriate for us to release around our greatest hits tour, when we are seeing so many faces that we haven't seen for such a long time”.
“Crashed the Wedding 2.0” featuring All Time Low
Charlie Simpson said, “I've been listening to All Time Low since they released their debut EP 'Put Up Or Shut Up back in 2006.' It's so awesome to have them on board for reimagining one of our biggest songs.”
All Time Low said, “I had the pleasure of getting to know these guys when we worked together on a couple tracks for the McBusted album. Getting the call to come in and help recreate an iconic Busted song was a no-brainer. Loved being a part of this one!”
“Meet You There 2.0” featuring Neck Deep
Charlie Simpson said, “This is one of the tracks we are most excited about releasing, as we have recorded an entirely new arrangement of the song. The original was an acoustic ballad and this new version is a balls-out rock explosion! We are also so happy to have done this with Neck Deep. Ben [Barlow] sounds awesome on it and what is extra special is he told me this was one of his fave Busted songs when he was growing up.”
Neck Deep's Ben Barlow said, “It's kind of a full-circle moment for myself and Seb (Neck Deep's bassist) especially. When we were like eight and 10 years old my big sister took us to see Busted in Manchester Arena, and that was the first show we ever went to. Fast forward 20 years and I'm featuring on my favourite song of theirs! Wild. The re-work of the song is really cool too, and we had a blast making it. Busted have been really cool the whole way and I'm stoked to re-live the experience that eight-year-old me had back then.”
“MMMBop 2.0” featuring HANSON
Busted said, It's such an honour to sing this 90's classic with the band who made it 25 years on from original release. Something a bit different that we hope will bring some happiness to all of you and we cannot wait to have HANSON out with us on tour in September around the UK & Ireland.”
Hanson said, “It's been a thrill to reimagine 'MMMBop' with Busted and to see how a song with such history comes to life in a new way. This is a true fusion of Hanson and Busted”.
