Canadian singer-songwriter Peggy Messing, aka La Faute released the third single called “The Crown” from her upcoming debut album “Blue Girl Nice Day” on April 14, 2023.
The song was written by Peggy Messing and produced by Topher Mohr.
The track is inspired by a dream she had about a loved one who has passed, Peggy Messing gave thought to memories and ghosts, and how maybe they are the same thing.
The accompanying music video was snipped from the 1962 film “Carnival of Souls” directed by Herk Harvey.
Peggy Messing said of the video, “I made this video by chopping up a cult classic public domain film called 'Carnival of Souls' starring Candace Hilligoss, directed by Herk Harvey. In the film, Mary wanders around but can’t figure out why she’s sometimes invisible and inaudible to others. She starts being haunted by strange visions and by the end of the film (spoilers) we realize that she has actually died in a car crash and it has perhaps been her ghost that we have been watching the whole time.”
The debut album “Blue Girl Nice Day” is set to be released on May 26, 2023.- source : Apple Music
