Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Rachel Chinouriri Performs “I'm Not Perfect (But I'm Trying)” on BBC Radio 1 Piano Sessions
British singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri appeared on BBC Radio 1 Piano Sessions to perform her latest song “I'm Not Perfect (But I'm Trying)”.
The song was released back in October, following the 2022 EP “Better Off Without”.
The track was written by Glen Roberts, Rachel Chinouriri and Rob Milton. Produced by HYLNU and Rob Milton.
Rachel Chinouriri said of the song, “I wanted to write a song about hesitating before stepping into a situation. I was reflecting on the self-doubt I sometimes have, but also the desire to always throw myself straight into things .It's the realization and acceptance of being totally imperfect.This life is full of movement and it's not always easy to keep up.But I remember to just try it to grow as a person and to do new and amazing things to experience.”
Rachel Chinouriri was nominated for BBC Radio 1's Sound of 2023. The winner will be announced on January 5, 2023.- source : BBC Radio 1
