American singer-songwriter Leah Kate announced her new EP “Alive and Unwell” would be released on October 28, 2022.
The EP comprises 8-track. It is her first project since the 2021 EP “What Just Happened?”.
Leah Kate said, “SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE MY EP ALIVE AND UNWELL WILL BE ALL YOURS ON OCTOBER 28TH 💔❤️🔥🥀🧚🏼♀️💔 ive spent the last year writing these songs that I’m insanely proud of. they are my favorite to date. 8 songs that are a culmination of tough times turned into art. let the journey begin.”
From the EP, she unveiled the third single called “Monster” on September 30, 2022, following “Life Sux” and “10 Things I Hate About You”.
The track was written by Leah Kate, Mike Wise, Lowell Boland, bülow and Nate Ferraro. Produced by Mike Wise.
Leah Kate said of the song, “This song is one of my favorites and is for anyone who’s ever wanted to take back their power in a relationship or situation. Whether it’s from a toxic ex, friend, lover, family member or hater on the internet. I used to have trouble standing up for myself and speaking up. Monster was written from a sad place, but I hope it inspires you to enter your bad bitch era and to take your power back. I hope it starts your journey from broken to powerful.
