Janelle Safford Releases Debut Song “Frozen Ice”
American singer-songwriter Janelle Safford has released her much-anticipated debut song “Frozen Ice”.
The track was written and produced by Janelle Safford.
Janelle Safford wrote the song in high school. The song draws from experiences that everyone goes through as a teenager.
When you are young and do not know who you are yet, people tend to greatly affect how you feel about yourself, which is what “Frozen Ice” expounds on as well.
Janelle Safford said of the song, “This song is about the moment when someone has hurt you so badly that you cannot feel anything anymore.”
Janelle Safford currently resides in Los Angeles and attends California Institute of the Arts where she is receiving her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in music. She is also the founder and president of the Ukulele Club at her college.
Janelle Safford began writing songs when she was very little and found inspiration to make music by listening to Taylor Swift.
Seeing how songwriters like Taylor Swift created such personal lyrics that everyone could relate to inspired Janelle to draw from her own personal experiences when making music.
She began playing the ukulele when she was in middle school. She bought a one with the money from her good grades and has not stopped playing it ever since.
She plans on creating music that spans to many different genres such as pop, indie, alternative and country music.
