British singer-songwriter Rex Orange County premiered a new song “THREAT” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is the first single since his fourth studio album “Who Cares?”, which was released back in March and reached No. 1 on the UK Albums chart.
It was written and produced by Rex Orange County, Teo Halm and Jim Reed.
Rex Orange County told Clara Amfo about the song, “It was a great thing. And I wrote a song with two of my my best friends Teo Halm and Jim Reed, Jim who plays drums to me. And it's a song that is about pretty much just feeling scared of losing the person you love and feeling insecure.”
He continued, “But as far as the sound of the song, it's pretty much switching it up for me and the three of us making something just playing instruments and trying something new. And certainly a departure as a single song, I really wanted to do select for the summer. And It just felt very much, it was cold when we made it. We have definitely put away until it's hot and then put this one out 100%.”- source : BBC Radio 1
