Seattle-based alt-folk singer-songwriter Rocky Votolato will release his new album “Wild Roots” on September 9, 2022.
It is his first album in seven years since the 2015 album “Hospital Handshakes”.
From the album, he unveiled the second single entitled “Little Black Diamond” on July 29, 2022, following “Evergreen”.
It was written and produced by Rocky Votolato.
Rocky Votolato shared on social media, “It’s been an incredibly tough year… I know it has for everyone. I’m just happy to still be standing and feeling very grateful for all the love in my life today. It’s amazing to finally be releasing music into the world again after all this time.”
He continued, “My new song 'Little Black Diamond' is out now! This is a song inspired by my niece Carissa and it’s a song about loyalty and how much keeping your word and telling the truth means to the ones closest to you. I wrote it after we went for a walk one day and she helped me find a little stone that i carried around with me in my pocket for years and years on every tour I did. That little rock came to represent loyalty to me and was a constant reminder of all the people in my life who love me and why I was trying to stay alive and do the work on myself to become a better person.”- source : Apple Music
