Los Angeles-based alt-rock singer-songwriter Troi Irons has unveiled a new song “Strangers”, following her 2018's EP “Antihero”.
Troi Irons said of the song, “My earliest memories are of feeling like I didn’t belong anywhere. In a sense, I value this alienation because it forces me to value truth over comfort. A lot of people don’t like that – they’d rather keep their eyes closed, ears shut. So it drives this cycle and I become stranger than I was. And I hate that.”
Troi Irons debuted with her twin sister as the duo Axiz in 2008. The duo signed to RCA and recorded a debut album. But the label did not release it.
After the duo, she started her music career as a solo artist. In 2014, she worked with Australian DJ Will Sparks and the Finnish duo Tom & Hills.
She joined in American rapper Lupe Fiasco's album "Tetsuo & Youth" in 2015.
She signed to Def Jam Recordings and released the EP "Turbulence" in 2016. Looking for more creative freedom, she left Def Jam and released the EP "Antihero" produced by herself in 2018.- source : Ones To Watch
