New York City-based singer-songwriter Raveena Aurora, aka Raveena returned with a new song “Pluto” on May 8, 2024.
The song is her first music in two years since the 2022 sophomore album “Asha’s Awakening”.
It was written by Aaron Liao, Ajay Bhattacharyya, Raveena Aurora, and Tyler Cole. Produced by Stint, Aaron Liao, and Tyler Cole.
The accompanying music video was co-directed by Raveena Aurora and Tanmay Chowdhary.
Raveena said of the song, “This record is so inner child for me. It’s a song about loss, but woven into the most joyful soundbed. When making it, I was remembering the feeling of having my little walkman and listening to the most euphoric pop songs, dancing around the yard or looking out the window on a long drive at ten years old. I want to bring back the sweetness that feels like it’s suspended in that time of the early 2000s and 90s.”
She added, I love the amalgamation of sounds we landed on in this song- it’s such a classic R&B record in so many ways, with all these hidden gems of unique instruments like swarmandal and electric sitar.”- Raveena shared on social media, “I missed u all so much. Sorry I was being SHY. I used to share a lot on here and I want to do that more. I remember when it used to be a diary for me. I really pour every fiber of my being into my art when I’m making it - I think more in the last two years than I ever have- and I start time traveling in other realms, so it can be hard for me to come back to earth or internet realm until I know what I want to say. Do you ever feel like that ?? Like you need to collect your energy and know your exact intentions before you share with the world ??? Rambling now. I’m So happy Pluto is almost yours, because this music maybe some of my favorite I’ve made.”
