Norwegian singer-songwriter Aden Foyer released a new song “Queen of the Night” on May 3, 2024.
The song is the second single of 2024, following the release of “Hello Radio” back in February.
He first performed the song during his debut tour a few months back.
The track was created in the same way as the 2023 EP “The Ballet Girl” with a short story by Aden wrote.
I was written and produced by Aden Foyer and Paul Hers.
Aden Foyer said of the song, “'Queen of the Night' has a darker story than it might seem at first listen. Under the surface, it's about a young lady who tries to live a normal life with friends, but has been sucked into a nightlife underworld. In a maelstrom of prostitution, addiction and wanted/unwanted attention, she is the center of attention wherever she goes. Her appearance has created temptations she has not been able to resist - and with a masochistic undertone, she takes the night by storm.”- He continued, “The song started as a story I'm writing, and just like 'The Ballet Girl' it turned into a song one day on the piano. It originally started as an alternate path the girl in 'The Ballet Girl' took in that short story, but ended up as a separate thread and story. A kind of dark version.”
