Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Devan Announces New EP “Liquid Sunshine”, Shares New Song “Feel Better”
Toronto-based singer-songwriter Devan Glover, aka Devan announced her upcoming second EP “Liquid Sunshine” would be released on October 15, 2021.
From the EP, she unveiled third single called “Feel Better” on August 26, 2021.
The track was written by Jesse Gold, Devan Glover and Jack Emblem. The accompanying music video was directed by Kyle Laurin.
“'Feel Better' is about someone close to you going through a tough time,” Devan Glover said of the song. “With mental health struggles, no matter how badly you want to be helpful, sometimes there's nothing you can do to help the situation. This song came out of that feeling of helplessness, and is my way of saying I'm here for you, even if I can't fix this.”
She worked with producer Jack Emblem and engineer Chris Gehringer on the new EP.
“For me, the last year has been a big reflective time and an opportunity to look inward, and to deal with some emotions in a way I hadn't been doing,” she said. “These songs came out of me digging up a lot of experiences from years ago, and I think writing these songs has been very healing and self-actualizing.”
