American pop rock duo Aly & AJ unveiled a new song “Slow Dancing” from their upcoming fourth studio album on December 2nd.
Back in October, the duo announced their new album (yet-untitled) will be released in Spring 2021. The album is their first LP in 14 years.
“Slow Dancing” is the first single off of the new album. It was written by Yves Rothman, Ryan Spraker, Sad Pony, AJ Michalka and Aly Michalka.
The duo recorded the song during lockdown in Los Angeles due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Aly Michalka told Entertainment Weekly about the song, “It's actually a song [where] the melody was started a few years ago, but the actual song subject matter and the lyrics were worked on over COVID. We worked on this as one of the last songs we were writing.”
AJ Michalka added, “During the LA lockdown is when Aly and I reapproached the song and changed the meaning of it.”
The duo has already filmed a music video for the song in Santa Ynez via Zoom with their producer. The video will be premiered soon.- source : Entertainment Weekly
