Halsey Shares Performance Video for “3am” (Stripped), Releases Collection Of Poetry “I Would Leave Me If I Could”
- American singer-songwriter Halsey has shared a new performance video for “3am” (Stripped) on VEVO.
The song is included on her third studio album “Manic” digital expanded edition, which was released back in September.
It was written by Halsey and Greg Kurstin. Produced by Halsey.
Halsey said of the song, “After a night out where I came home and was ringing everyone in my contacts cause I was dying to talk to literally ANYONE so I wouldn’t have to sit with my own thoughts. I realized ‘hmm this is…bad.’ and wrote a song about it!”
On November 10th, she issued her collection of poetry “I Would Leave Me If I Could”. The book delves into the highs and lows of doomed relationships, family ties, sexuality, and mental illness. More hand grenades than confessions, these autobiographical poems explore and dismantle conventional notions of what it means to be a feminist in search of power.
Halsey shared on social media, “Years in the making. My first collection of poetry “I Would Leave Me If I Could” is out. It’s things I ruminate on, fixate, miss, cry, regret, re-live and overcome. I love being a weird popstar. But I’ll always be a writer first and foremost. Thank you 🤍 and thank you to @ryanfischerharbage and @sgfrerich @mariaamargarita @anthonytomasli for believing in the words!”
