Paris Jackson Releases Debut Solo Album “wilted”: Streaming
- American singer-songwriter and Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris Jackson released her debut solo album “wilted” on November 13, 2020.
The album comprises of 11-track, Paris Jackson co-wrote nine tracks with Andy Hull, who is leader of the indie-rock band Manchester Orchestra, and the other two tracks she wrote by herself. Produced by Andy Hull. The album features alt-folk sound.
She is a huge fan of Andy Hull. Paris Jackson shared on social media, “thank you for the most incredible and unforgettable experience. it was an absolute honour to create with you guys, especially on a project so vulnerable and raw and close to my heart. i poured my soul into these songs when i wrote them, and you guys took it to a level i could have never even imagined. the kindness, thoughtfulness, and love you guys exhibited is beyond my ability to describe. not to mention it's rare and a total privilege for an amateur musician to be able to say she got to work with her heroes on her first album. i am eternally grateful♥️”
Andy Hull said, “really proud of my friend paris and this album we made together over the last several weeks. neither of us knew what it would be like to work together and it turned out to be a blissful experience full of hyper focus, experimentation, laughs and productivity... and some seriously beautiful songs. rob & I can be intense in the studio and she matched us step for step. always committed to the search for authenticity. she's a bad ass.”
For Paris Jackson, the album is her second musical release. She released the EP “The Soundflowers” back in June as folk duo The Sunflowers, who consisted of her and her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Glenn.
This time, she signed to Republic Records, home to artists like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Lorde, and released the solo album.
