Canadian singer-songwriter Justin Bieber teamed up with American record producer Benny Blanco to release a new song “Lonely”.
He co-wrote the song with American singer-songwriter FINNEAS, who is known as brother of Billie Eilish.
The accompanying music video stars Jacob Tremblay and directed by Jake Schreier. The track follows up "Holy" with Chance the Rapper, which was released last month.
This marks their first collaboration as two credited artists. But Benny Blanco produced Justin Bieber's “Somebody to Love”, “Love Yourself”, Sean Kingston's “Eenie Meenie” with Justin Bieber, and Major Lazer's “Cold Water” with Justin Bieber and MØ.
Justin Bieber shared on social media, “When he and FINNEAS showed me this song to be honest it was hard to listen to considering how tough it was to get through some of these chapters. I went into the studio and sang through it which wasn't easy but started to really see the importance of telling this story! It made me realize we all feel lonely at times! Being someone in my position I believe it is powerful to express vulnerability and that's why I believe this song is so powerful! And Jacob Tremblay is so talented.
