KiNG MALA Releases New Song “If I Try to Find You”
- Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter KiNG MALA released a new song “If I Try to Find You” on September 24th.
The track features heavy R&B and rock sound vibe. Produced by Rob Auerbach, who also produced her pervious single “sugarblind”.
The song gives an honest perspective of someone who has been taken advantage of by someone they trusted. Detailing an unhealthy relationship, the emotional song touches on that feeling of realizing someone hurt you.
Areli Castro, KiNG MALA's real name, said, “This song is a super personal one for me. I was thinking about a relationship I had when I was 16/17 with someone much older than me and wondering how that person is and where they might be now.”
Additionally, Castro hopes that her music boosts listeners’ confidence. She confides, “I hope it helps people feel okay with what they feel. I’m a person with very intense feelings and it took me a long time to realize that that’s a gift, not a weakness.”
