American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform “Midnight Sky” and “Maneater”.
“Midnight Sky” was released in August, and she performed it on BBC Radio 1 earlier this month before The Tonight Show.
The song will appear on her upcoming seventh studio album “She Is Miley Cyrus”.
Miley Cyrus said of the song, “It's called “Midnight Sky”. Even just the title is inspired by Debbie Harry's “Heart of Glass”, but I pulled inspiration from “Edge of Seventeen”, two of my favorite songs. “Heart of Glass”, the reason I love it so much, is that the title isn't the repetition in the chorus, it's just a cool thing to say, it's not the chorus at all. And so I thought, you know, my favorite part of it is I love the kind of visual painting of midnight sky and what that means. And the midnight sky for me is like if you're fucking partying, the moon is a disco ball and the stars are all the reflection of light on the ceiling.”
“Maneater” was released by Hall & Oates in 1982. The song was featured on their eleventh studio album “H2O”.- CnGdarAKMu8
