Imogen Heap Drops New Music Video for “Phase and Flow”
Back in April, British singer-songwriter Imogen Heap released a new song “Phase and Flow”.
For the song, she collaborated with IBM and FIELD.IO as Think2020. She sampled sounds at IBM Research labs in New York and created the song. On June 8th, she dropped a new music video.
Imogen Heap shared, “Very happy to share more on a collaboration with IBM and FIELD.IO for this year’s #Think2020. I had a truly inspiring couple of days visiting the IBM Research labs that got the creative ball rolling. Equipped with a mini mobile recording rig to capture sounds, I came upon some pretty awesome sounding machines. My favourite being the Annealing Furnace, dub bass style. The IBM Q quantum computers gave direction for the piece (along with the crickets in the nearby woods) with their signature sound of keeping things about as cool as deep space. Separate tempos converging over time, create interesting patterns as they dance and collide in-between. Lovely page all about it here, with a short making of doc by Michael Lebor plus sound and visual clips, enjoy!”
