American singer-songwriter Tori Kelly has announced that her fifth studio album “TORI.” will be released on April 5, 2024 via Epic Records and Beautiful Mind Records.
The album is the follow-up to the 2023 EP “Tori” and comprises a 15-track, featuring guest appearances from Ayra Starr and Jon Bellion.
According to a press release, the album is her truly full 360 vision and “bring together sounds from the late Nineties and early 2000s in creative exciting ways.
Tori Kelly said of the album, “I have been working on my next album for the last few years, exploring new sounds & expressing so many different sides of myself. I thought I had covered it all until I had a health scare in July of last year that reminded me just how fragile life can be.”- From the album, she unveiled a new song “high water” on February 9, 2024.
The track was written by Jason Cornet, Jonathan Bellion, and Tori Kelly. Produced by Tori Kelly, Tenroc, and Jon Bellion.
The song was written after she faced a health emergency. Last October, she hospitalized with blood clots in her legs and lungs.
Tori Kelly said of the song in a statement, “'high water' is about simply holding on and believing that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Now my hope is that ['high water'] will uplift others in whatever they might be going through and encourage them to keep going.” -
