  • DJ Zinc Premieres New Song “Stubborn” featuring IYAMAH on BBC Radio 1

  • British DJ Zinc premiered a new song “Stubborn” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.

The song is the follow-up to “Today, Tomorrow and Forever” with London-based singer Charlotte Haining, which was released last December.
This time, he teamed up with London-based singer-songwriter IYAMAH on the track.
The track was written by DJ Zinc, John Morgan, Sophie Bond, and Will Lansley. Produced by DJ Zinc and Punctual.
IYAMAH told Clara Amfo about the song, “This is a chat that is all about moods. And suddenly about drum and bass as well. It just brings out this almost like other personality and me like this more kind of like angry side to me, which I don't often get to, put out so, I just feel like it kind of brings out this more angry side. It's almost like having a different personality. In a way, so it's almost like two characters in the song.”
  • DJ Zinc continued, “I wasn't responsible for any of the lyrics, so I can't take any of the credit. But I love it. I think I like the attitude like the vibe fits perfectly. But yeah, I think we were talking yesterday and I think really, the vocal is the star in this. I think the beat is okay, but the vocal is. It really is. I think so.”
IYAMAH added, “But the beat is crazy though. He brought that out in me, and I think it just works so well having that those two personalities when when the beat drops and then it's like, that's what I felt and so that's what came out off the back of the beat.”
