  • Boyce Avenue Covers Rascal Flatts' Version of “Bless The Broken Road”

  • Sarasota-based cover band Boyce Avenue, consisting of Alejandro Luis Manzano (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Fabian Rafael Manzano (lead guitar/backing vocals) and Daniel Enrique Manzano (bass/backing vocals), released a cover of “Bless The Broken Road” on January 19, 2024.


    The original version of the song was written by Marcus Hummon, Bobby Boyd, and Jeff Hanna in 1994.
    The song was first released by American country rock band Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1994. Marcus Hummon featured the song on his 1995 album “All in Good Time”.
    Then, American country music band Rascal Flatts released the song in 2004.
    Rascal Flatts' version reached No. 1 on the Billboard country music charts. Also, their version won a Grammy Award for Best Country Song.
    Boyce Avenue said why they choice Rascal Flatts version, "We selected this song because it is a truly timeless ballad with robust melodies and harmonies. We also admired Rascal Flatts' version and aimed to create an acoustic tribute to their popular release."
    The accompanying music video was directed by Alejandro Manzano and Adam Barber.
