Paloma Faith Releases New Song “Pressure” featuring Kojey Radical
British singer-songwriter Paloma Faith released a new song “Pressure” on January 19, 2024.
The song is the third single off of her upcoming sixth studio album “The Glorification of Sadness”, which is set to be released on February 16, 2024.
This time, she collaborated with London-based poet Kojey Radical on the track.
This marks the first time Paloma Faith and Kojey Radical have worked together.
The track was written by Gerard O'Connell, Kojey Radical, Paloma Faith, Saul Milton, Tommy Baxter, and William Kennard. Produced by Chase & Status.
Paloma Faith said of the song, “Pressure was a chorus originally sent to me by Liam Bailey through his friendship with Chase and Status. We then wrote verses with Gez O’Connell who was the original writer on the track and eventually arrived at this haunting subby place which I was hypnotised by. I had always hoped to collaborate with Kojey because I consider him to be one of the most exceptionally talented artists in the UK, and I’m a big fan of his work. This was a perfect pairing. I’m delighted with the result.”- Kojey Radical added, “Paloma is one of the best truly fearless creatives this country has and it was an honour to be able join such a real and vulnerable record. I just hope i did it justice.”
Paloma Faith shared on social media, “I first heard this song written by Chase & Status and Gerard O'Connell as a solitary chorus. We got to work on verses and I thought of Kojey as I am a huge fan. Collab dreams come true. This song comes early in The Glorification Of Sadness and sets the scene for what’s to come.”
The new album comprises a 17-track and is inspired by the separation of her long term relationship.
