Marika Hackman Releases New Song “The Yellow Mile”
London-based singer-songwriter Marika Hackman will release her new album “Big Sigh” this Friday (January 12th) via Chrysalis Records.
The album is her body of work in four years since the 2020 covers album “Covers”, but is the first project as her own original album in five years since the 2019 album “Any Human Friend”.
The album comprises a 10-track, produced by Marika Hackman, Sam Petts-Davies, and Charlie Andrew.
From the album, she released the final promotional single and the fourth single called “The Yellow Mile” on January 10, 2024.
The track was written and produced by Marika Hackman, with production by Charlie Andrew.
The accompanying music video was co-directed by Marika Hackman and Natàlia Pagès Geli.
Marika Hackman said of the song, “I wanted to go back to my roots as a songwriter, me and a guitar, crafted, very immediate.”- source : Apple Music
