Gwyn Love Teams Up With La+ch for New Song “get over u”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Gwyn Love teamed up with Toronto-based producer La+ch again to release a new song “get over u” on November 3, 2023 via 604 Records.
The pair released the song, following “die a little less” released back in September.
To date, Gwyn Love and La+ch have worked togerher several times, such as the 2022 singles “pttrn”, “good luck rly”, “luv 2 the beat”, and the 2020 EP “at first blush”.
The track was written by Gwendolyn Clark, Charlie Kerr, and Robert Benvegnu. Produced by La+ch.
Gwyn Love said of the song, “'get over u' is my second single I wrote with multi-platinum producer and composer La+ch.”
They continued, “This song captures the sadness I feel on the inside during a breakup and what I portray to other people. It's the feeling of wanting to stay home and be sad but also wanting to go out to numb the sadness for a bit. It's a heavy lyric dance song which I think marries those contradicting feelings.”- Gwyn Love is as the first-ever American artist signed to Vancouver-based 604 Records.
Over the past decade, their sound has continued to evolve - blending what Gwyn Love describes as a punk mentality with an electronic-pop vibe.
“I kind of just like to mesh all different styles together. I have a bluntness with my lyrics that you could find in punk music, but once I heard electronic dance music, that's when my sound really clicked for me,” Gwyn Love explained. “That's when I really understood how I wanted my music to sound and feel.” -
